In 2019, the Feldenkrais for Musicians and the National Summer Cello Institute will be held in Caroga Lake, NY as part of the Caroga Arts Collective for the second year in a row.

About the National Summer Cello Institute (NSCI): Two intensive weeks combining the principles of somatic education with varied approaches to cello mastery designed to redefine how cellists perform and teach. Participants experience an introduction to Feldenkrais with fellow artists in the Feldenkrais For Musicians program, and continue in private lessons, master classes and seminars dedicated to expanding artistic freedom.
The Feldenkrais Workshop for Musicians is part of the NSCI program and tuition.

Where is NSCI being held?:
NSCI 2019 will be held in Caroga Lake, NY as part of the Caroga Arts Collective. The Caroga Arts Collective’s is located just northeast of the intersection of Route 29A and County Road 112 in the Town of Caroga.
Travel:
Albany International Airport is the designated airport to fly into and out of for the Feldenkrais and NSCI workshops.
Amtrak Station - Amsterdam (AMS) The Amtrak Station in Amsterdam is the closest train stop to Caroga Lake.

Shuttle Pick-up and Drop-off
Caroga Arts Collective will be providing a shuttle pick-up and drop-off at both the Amsterdam Amtrak Station and the Albany International Airport.
Accommodations and Meals:
Cellists will stay and dine at the Nick Stoner Inn.
Accommodations and meals are included in the tuition!
How many cellists attend NSCI?
The exact number varies slightly from year to year but generally 20-22 applicants are accepted.
When will I find out whether or not I am accepted into NSCI?
Uri Vardi will receive and review all submitted applications. We will be sending out a confirmation email by April 6, 2019.
